Everyone knows that the Disneyland Paris theme park is packed with rides of all kinds to appeal to people and kids of all ages. But some rides are naturally more popular than others, and one of the best ones of all is the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

This is a boat ride but it doesn’t take place outdoors – the whole thing is inside and that means you don’t get an opportunity to look at it before you board your boat to have the experience. This is a good thing because you just don’t know what to expect!

All the Disneyland parks have the ride, but some people believe the Paris version is the best one of the lot. The ride is filled with pirates and other characters as well, and you might be forgiven for thinking it is populated with actors. However the incredible figures are animatronics and they have to be seen to be believed.

Clearly a lot of thought has gone into creating the ride, and while some younger kids may not like it most of them probably will. There are signs announcing that you may get wet, but on the whole it is not as bad as a log flume or similar water ride.

Another major advantage of the ride is that it is quite a lengthy one. Unlike some roller coasters, where you might only have a minute or two to enjoy the actual ride, this one goes on for some time. It is also far more laid back, which is lovely to appreciate when you want to do something a little different.

If you want more reasons to go on the ride, here is another one – you’ll see something different every time. While the Pirates of the Caribbean ride never really changes, it is so detailed and in depth that you cannot possibly see everything in one go. So once you have tried the ride for the first time, perhaps it would be an idea to go back and experience it again? It would certainly ensure you get the whole story.
